Uskont offers three core services: container inspection (CSC, ACEP, damage and lashing reports), container repair to IICL standard, and container modification under the modifiTAINER brand. All three are carried out under one roof at our certified workshop in Istanbul.
We are based in Istanbul; for on-site inspection and field services, coverage may vary by location. [Service area limits to be confirmed by the business.] Send us your location and we will work out the fastest option together.
Quotes are completely free and carry no obligation. We respond to quote requests within 12 hours; questions sent via WhatsApp are usually answered even faster.
Yes. From an individual customer who wants to turn a single container into a café to fleet owners with hundreds of containers, we work to the same standard — the quality of service does not depend on the size of the customer.
The CSC plate is the mandatory approval plate showing that a container is safe for international transport. A container without a valid CSC plate may be rejected at ports; it is also a basic document of trust in sales and leasing.
ACEP (Approved Continuous Examination Programme) is a programme approved by the administration on the container owner’s application, under which the container is examined regularly at on-hire/off-hire interchanges and during repairs; the interval between two examinations never exceeds 30 months. Containers outside ACEP are subject to PES (Periodic Examination Scheme): the first examination must take place within 5 years of manufacture, and subsequent ones at most every 30 months.
For standard inspections, the report is sent by e-mail as a PDF with photos within [X business days] of the inspection being completed. To see the scope of the report in advance, you can download the sample report on the Inspection page.
Both are possible: your container can be inspected on site — in the field, at the port or at your depot — or brought to our workshop for inspection. We will recommend the most suitable option when assessing the damage.
As a general rule, repair makes sense if the damage does not compromise structural integrity and the repair cost is well below the container’s value. We clarify this comparison during the damage assessment and, if necessary, we will honestly tell you to “replace it”.
Minor repairs are completed within days, while panel replacements and structural work can take longer. Together with the damage assessment, we provide a clear quote for time and cost. [Typical lead times awaiting confirmation by the business.]
Yes — every repair is handed over with a photo-documented repair record. If you wish, you can also have the repair documented with an independent Post-Repair Report prepared by our inspection team; this is especially recommended for leased containers and containers changing hands.
It covers all the work that turns a container into an office, café, storage unit, site building or living space, including cutting window and door openings, insulation, electrical installation, air conditioning, interior partitions, flooring, paint and brand wrapping.
It depends on the intended use and where it will be installed; uses that qualify as permanent structures may be subject to municipal regulations. You should confirm the exact requirements with your local municipality — we provide guidance during the design stage.
Since every project is custom, the price is prepared as a quote based on the container type, equipment choices and the scope of interior work. Send us your requirements via the form or WhatsApp and we will prepare a clear quote.
Anyone — you do not need to be our customer. The check digit calculator and the 3D viewer are completely free; calculations run in your browser, and no data is sent to or stored on a server.
Send your question on WhatsApp or through the contact form; we respond to quote requests within 12 hours. For topics such as pricing, our team will help you directly.
